Get this right - the Swift is fun to drive and the Getz is a better buy overall. A peppy, rev happy engine and an overall lightweight feel makes the Swift a point and shoot device with not much comparison. The Getz on the other hand works like a quality refrigerator, spreading little cheer all around. Now the 1.1 version (with the Santro engine) is available and is an absoulte economiser package. The Getz is better built and uses more quality bits too. If you want your 'grown up hatchback' with full complement of safety features, like ABS and two airbags, then the Swift ZXi is the only choice. Mind says Getz is a better buy but heart wants to have fun. I would succumb to the temptation and buy a Swift. And tell the world that I bought it for safety features. Actually I have done just that.
